EDI Generator - MFT Gateway integration

As described in the overview, the EDIGenerator requires integration with the MFTGateway to perform the actual communication with the business partners over the AS2 protocol, which is the most preferred method of file exchange for EDI. In this section, we’ll look into how we can integrate EDI Generator with MFT Gateway a hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) application, which provides AS2 connectivity as a Service.

Prerequisites

  1. Have an MFT Gateway account.

Note: If you don’t have an MFT Gateway account, visit the MFT Gateway home page and click on the Start Free Trial button to create an account.

  2. Already configured a Station in MFT Gateway which is used as your local endpoint of the trading communication.
  3. Already configured a Partner in MFT Gateway which allows you to send messages to your trading partners and receive messages from them.

Note: Once configured, the station and the partner should be able to exchange messages via MFT Gateway. If you haven’t configured Stations, Partners properly in MFT Gateway, refer documentation on how to configure them.

  4. Enabled S3 Integration in MFT Gateway and have the generated access keys.

Note: If you haven’t enabled S3 Integration yet, refer documentation on enabling that.

Once you have completed all the prerequisites, login to your MFT Gateway account and go to the EDI Generator Integration view using the Integrations icon on the left navigation menu.

EDIG Integration view with field numbering

  1. Provide the domain name you have given when registering your organization in EDI Generator.
  2. Here, select your MFT Gateway station which will be used as the message sending/receiving entity of EDI Generator.

Once finished, click the Integrate button. From now on, EDI files received to the relevant station will be forwarded to EDI Generator and all the messages generated from EDI Generator will be sent out from MFT Gateway, through the selected Station.
